Waste Disposal

Because Cambodia is an underdeveloped nation, there is no universal system that helps with waste disposal. Right now, especially in the few urban areas, there is much trash both littering the streets. The garbage is also, in turn, effecting the groundwater and making it impossible for many to drink.

While there is supposedly a program that is being implemented in Cambodia (all the household waste is usually collected and brought to a final dumping site), there still remains a giant waste problem on the streets of Cambodia. While right now there are no current programs to help fix this, hopefully in the future, once the country becomes more developed, these waste management issues will be solved.
